Later it became a word to describes profession actor in a play, a reciter of poetry,
In Jesus day – an ethical “play-actor”

Like a disease, a virus, starting small, but so pervasive if unchecked….
Pandemic = social distancing
The idea is distance from = safety. Don’t get close. Don’t get polluted by it….
Jesus is similarly warning – distance yourself from the infected Pharisees…
