12/09 – the Obscure Town
The second candle represents LOVE and is called “Bethlehem’s Candle.”
Bethlehem is also mentioned in the book of Judges,
is the main setting in the book of Ruth,
and according to the book of Samuel, where King David grew up.
The most significantly, it is the location of the birth of Jesus Christ.

The prophecy in Micah 5:2 says, “But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity.”
